Q - What is Crane's 100% Cotton Card?
A – Crane & Co produce card and paper from 100% cotton fibre which gives you a truly luxurious and ultra-soft feel to your stationery. World renowned, the Queen Mum sent out her 100th birthday invitations on Crane's cotton card. It is also "tree-free". There is a small supplement to print your stationery on Crane's cotton card - see the price list for more details.
Q - I have seen a design I like on your website but can I change the colours to suit my colour scheme?
A -The colours featured on our website are simply colour option ideas and those that we think work with the design. If you would like a different colour combination please let us know, most of our designs can be changed to meet your specifications. Colour changes are charged at £25.00 per colour.
Q - Can I order a sample of a wedding invitation or other piece of stationery?
A - We will gladly send you a sample of stationery from our previous bespoke designs. We limit the number of samples to 2 per customer. If you require your choice of stationery made up as an invitation prior to order, there will be a charge of £3.00 per item. This amount will be deducted from your order.
Q - Can you send me a brochure?
A – We do not have a printed brochure as we use our website as an online brochure and provide the information that we are confident you need. We are also happy to send samples of our previous work.
Q - Can I change the wording on the front of the invitation?
A - Yes, as each item is a bespoke design the wordings on the front cover can be changed and you can have any words printed in any colour (or you may also have the invitation left blank).
Q - We are having a civil ceremony so we don’t want a formal Order of Service, is there an alternative?
A - Yes, if you are having a civil ceremony we suggest a less formal Order of the Day. If you require an Order of the Day instead of an Order of Service please let us know when ordering in the special instructions box on the order information sheet.
Q - Why do I have to pay a deposit and full price before delivery?
A - A deposit is required to cover design time costs and materials. When you are 100% happy with the proofs we require full payment prior to printing. As your stationery is unique we are unable to sell it to any other customer.
Q - Are insert pages and envelopes included in the price?
A - All prices include printed inserts where applicable and all invitations, thank you cards and save the date cards are supplied with a white envelope (printed or colour envelopes would be at an additional charge). Prices for Order of Service are based on 2 pages (4 sides) any additional pages would be at an additional charge.
Q - When will my order be delivered and can I order extras?
A – Your stationery should be with you within 2 weeks of receipt of your final payment. You may order extras although the prices of these may be different to your original order and as there can be variations in the digital printing process we recommend you order all items at the same time where possible.
Q - Do I get my money back if I have to cancel my order due to unforeseen circumstances?
A – As each item of stationery is designed to suit your wedding with your specific text and colour requirements we unfortunately cannot offer refunds or exchanges once work has commenced on your order.
Q - How much is Posting & Packing (P&P)?
A - Postage and packing is worked out on an individual basis but is usually between £10 and £20 delivered to one mainland UK address. We will ensure your order gets to you in plenty of time and in perfect condition.
Q - When should I order my wedding stationery and when should I send out the invitations?
A - We advise that invitations should be sent out no later than 6 weeks prior to your wedding day; however 3 months would give your guests ample time to commit during the summer months. Save-the-Date cards are useful if you are planning your wedding date more than a year in advance. For you to receive your invitations in plenty of time we ask you to place your order at least 18 weeks before your wedding day.
Q - What if my wedding is less than 18 weeks away?
A - We are here to help you. The time your invitations take to be approved and printed depends largely on how quickly you communicate your information to us. If you are prepared with your complete wording, any change of colour and font, the process will go quickly and we will, with your help, meet your deadlines.
Q - How many items should I order?
A - It is customary to send one invitation per household or couple. Often one order of service is provided for each guest but one between two people is also acceptable. Thank you cards should be sent out to all the people you invited and those guests who send you a gift. It is sensible to allow extras for mistakes in writing and last minute changes to your guest list.
